#1 How We View Problems

Problems Get A Bad Rap!

How you view the problem can make a big difference.

We don't like them!

But problems may get a bad rap! Oftentimes they serve us in the most unexpected ways. In finding solutions to one problem, we can often solve several. And even if our first solution is not the one we are looking for, it can be the exact solution to another challenge.

Despite what you have believed about your set of problems - at work or at home, there are good solutions. You just haven't thought of them yet, and I am here to help you do just that.

So let's begin with this short video and look at the typical ways most folks relate to problems.

Four Common Reactions to Problems

1. Pretend it does not exist. So we bury our head, run from the situation, deny it exists, and suffer the consequences. Not a good option.

2. Postpone action. Avoid the problem at all costs. I am a master at this course of action and it causes more stress than the problem itself! Still unsatisfactory.

3. Presume we will never find an answer anyway..we abandon ourselves to the problem. Now this is just nasty! It supposes I need to suffer forever. That out of all the people in the world in the most tragic of circumstances, I am the #1 case, and there simply is no answer. Oh my.....

4. Predict someone else will figure out an answer sometime. Good luck with that! No one cares like you do. And you have the God given material in that noggin' of yours to create solutions. Please, don't let someone else own your life and your future. It's the only treasure you really have.

5. We predict the future without a solution. OUCH! This is called worry. STOP THAT!

You are going to be thrilled at what is waiting for you over the next 10 (actually 11) lessons. You will learn things that block you, how to unlock them, several brain training techniques, and how to apply it. Sounds fun!

Tomorrow, we will look one major block to problem solving...meet...Betty the Control Freak.

PS Can you tell I had a problem editing the end of the video. I went with #4. (smile)
